An update on a modern classic
In the summer of 2010 Havaianas released the latest update on a classic style that I worked on a couple of years ago, the Havaianas Espadrille. The Espadrilles feature a Havaianas rubber base and canvas upper with the iconic thong detail across the top. All are hand finished with colour corresponding stitching.
Created in 1962, Havaianas were the first style of flip-flops to be made out of rubber thus guaranteeing comfort and durability. They are designed and manufactured in Brazil to reflect the Brazilian style, attitude and climate. Over the past 48 years Havaianas have become a symbol of Brazil, one of the few products in the world sold to consumers of all social classes, races, beliefs, ages or religion, with no prejudice or discrimination.
They sold out in the shops last summer so make sure you get in quick this year!
